Finding a Web Host

Web Hosts are a must when you think about creating a web site. Without one you cannot have a site on the live web. However, most hosts you'll find cost money, and domain names mostly always do aswell. Here i have made a list of things to look for in a good web host.

- - Meets a price you can afford. You need to know how much money you think you can spend, keep in mind that you have to be able to pay every month, not just once. There are some hosts however that are free.

- - Adds or not? Almost all free hosts make you use adds, some however don't have any. You can get rid of adds on some sites but thats only if you pay for it.

- - Sometimes there are hosts, you may not realize this, but they have viruses. One I found was ultra hosts which had trojans. You want to avoid sites with such its bad for your computer and your viewers.

- - Make sure the host has enough space and bandwidth. You need a good amount for both and this will depened on whether or not your site is big and such.

- - Up time. you need to have a host that is up almost all the time. Your viewers will get annoyed if they go to your site and find its not up or the 'page can not be found' will get annoyed and might even give up going to the site if its like that often.

- - Php or HTML/CSS? Most free hosts you'll find do not support php. Many are simple ones that can only support html/css unless you pay for it. HTML and CSS are less complicated then PHP can be but php is a lot easier when changing layouts. Keep in mind your knowledge here not just easy or not.
